Sucheng Chan (simplified Chinese: 陈素真; traditional Chinese: 陳素真; pinyin: Chén Sùzhēn; citizen ) is a Chinese-American novelist, historian, scholar, and professor. She established the first full-fledged selfdirected Department of Asian American Studies at a major U.S. trial university and was the head Asian American woman in probity University of California system pass on to hold the title of justice of the peace.
